The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has announced further postponement of the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) 2025 in light of security developments linked to Operation Sindoor. The exam, originally set to take place on May 10, 2025, will proceed as planned in the cities that were not affected by the decision.

Affected Cities

The examination has been deferred in the following cities:

  • Jammu and Kashmir: Srinagar, Jammu
  • Punjab: Ludhiana, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Mohali, Patiala, Amritsar
  • Rajasthan: Jodhpur, Bikaner, Sriganganagar
  • Gujarat: Jamnagar

Approximately 3,000 candidates are impacted by this decision. COMEDK has assured that revised dates for these centers will be announced soon. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official websites www.comedk.org and www.unigauge.com for updates.

Cause of Postponement
The postponement is in response to orders from Operation Sindoor, a government program to mandate a response to national safety concerns. Schools in those cities have been directed to remain closed.
